RAIL BALLASTS

 

Ballasts are an essential item for any model railway and form the foundation of our product range.  Our ballast range consists of two grades; 1mm sized granules and 2-3mm sized granules.   Our 10 kilograms pack will cover a 14 metre long section by 30cm wide so you are able to use one pack for your entire project, providing your layout with an colour consistent theme throughout the whole scene.

We also provide small sample bags for each grade and colour so you can test a small area to make sure the colour is right for you.

Our ballasts are also perfect for wagon loads.  A 250 grams pack will fill 5 medium sized Hornby HEA hopper wagons.
